Lezio Lopes

I’ve been drawing for as long as I can remember. I create lush, immersive tropical worlds from feelings, memories, and the things that stay with me.

I grew up in Brazil, studied Fashion Design, and eventually built a life in Sydney, Australia, where I work as an illustrator. My work has led to collaborations with clients including HBO’s The White Lotus, Camilla, BMW, Away Travel, Estelle, among others.

My work is rooted in maximalism: lush tropical scenes, intricate compositions, and layers of detail that reward attention. I’m drawn to creating immersive environments where colour, texture, and form come together to evoke something familiar with a touch of surreality.

A feeling can be difficult to hold onto, but a world can give it somewhere to live. Through illustration, I transform those emotions into places filled with colour, texture, detail, and atmosphere.

I want you to feel like each piece is a little escape, sometimes playful and immediate, sometimes slower, inviting you to linger and uncover its story. I hope it draws you in and keeps you there a little longer.
