The White Lotus Season Three

For Season 3 of The White Lotus, I collaborated once again with Plains of Yonder on the show’s opening title sequence for HBO, created by Mike White. Credited as Designer for my contribution to the project, I worked on the sequence alongside the creative team, which received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Main Title Design.

Drawing inspiration from traditional Thai paintings and temple murals, my role focused on digital compositing and image construction. By combining fragments, figures, textures, and ornamental details sourced from multiple historic artworks, I assembled new compositions that felt seamlessly connected to the visual identity and narrative themes of the season.

The resulting imagery balances serenity with underlying tension, layering symbolic details and subtle storytelling throughout each composition. Beneath the ornate surfaces, the work reflects the season’s exploration of spirituality, desire, power, and human contradiction.
