The White Lotus Season Two

Reuniting with Plains of Yonder, I worked on the main title sequence for Season 2 ofThe White Lotus, created by Mike White for HBO. The sequence received a variety of awards and recognitions, including an Emmy nomination, with my work credited under Illustrator.

Inspired by traditional Italian frescoes and Sicilian mural paintings, the artwork was developed to feel intrinsically tied to the world of the series and its unfolding narrative. My role involved extending and reworking existing classical fresco paintings by introducing new characters and interactions, while also creating original compositions.

While the visuals initially present themselves as ornate and romantic, closer observation reveals scenes charged with tension, symbolism, and quiet narrative detail, reflecting the contrast between beauty and discomfort that defines the series itself.
