London Goes Bananas

FARM Rio asked me to create an illustration of bananas with flowers growing from their ends for the opening of their first London store. The commemorative print, London Goes Bananas, brings classic checks and tartan together with FARM Rio’s unmistakable tropical flair.

I painted eight bunches of bananas, each one blooming into different flowers. A little bit of Brazil arriving in London.

The artwork was then brought to life across scarves, gift bags, wrapping paper and the store display. Seeing something that began as an illustration turn into pieces that people can carry home is always one of my favourite parts of the process.
