BMW Neue Klasse

BMW invited me to create an illustration inspired by the Neue Klasse, their electric model, and gave me a lot of freedom to interpret it my own way. The challenge was to turn a car into a picture of life.

I wanted to show how choosing the better option (here, driving electric) feeds back into how nature responds. Flowers and leaves appear in different stages of growth, and at the centre a bird takes the wheel, suggesting that when nature leads the way, we're on the right track.

It also reads as a choice: we pick the direction, and preserving what's around us is a good place to end up.
